Gig Poster (Poster Para Concierto)

Poster for another advanced typography assignment. The assignment consisted in making a poster typographically based on a music/sport/theatre event. As a lover of music I chose one of the new bands I recently discover. Their name is Asobi Seksu, A New York based rock band with a Japanese singer. The name of the band in the poster is changed to Asobi Ishioni. The poster follows the concept of the band name itself and it's "playfulness". To help the concept and the poster itself I studied board games and the typography in them. At the end I decided to go for something that would be widely known and identified as a game, hence the monopoly looking board aparience. To add a little "rock " to the piece I added some patina. So is the story of this poster.

Poster para otro proyecto de typografia. En este proyecto teniamos que crear un poster tipograficamente basado. El tema era algun event musical, teatrico u deportivo. Como buen amante de la musica decidi hacerlo sobre una banda que recientemente he descubierto. Tal banda es Asobi Seksu, banda neoyorquina con una cantante japonesa. El nombre de la banda es cambiado en el poster a Asobi Ishioni (Juguetones Juntos en japones). El poster sigue el concepto del mismo nombre de la banda y su "juguetoneria". Pare reforzar el el concepto y el poster mismo estudie juegos de mesa y la tipografia hayada en los mismos. Al final decidi que el poster tubiera la apariencia de un juego bien conocido internacionalmente. De alli que el poster luciera como un tablero de monopolio. Para añadir al concepto de rock añadi algo de patina (uso) al tablero mismo. Esta fue la historia de este poster.
